* Oversees and implements the cancer center's programmatic components, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. Serves as an administrative, clinical resource in support of the Manager - Cancer Center Nursing, in physician practice clinical operations and the collaboration of care among internal and external WMG practices and the Cancer Center's hospital-based clinical departments. Manages the oncology services program support staff.

Implements professional and public education programs and collaborates with community agencies as appropriate to promote cancer screening and outreach.

* Essential Functions:

* + Participates in the development, coordination and administrative support of strategic and operational plans related to oncology services at the entity level.

+ Oversees all programmatic components, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.

+ Prepares annual capital and operating budgets. Monitors expenditures and works with managers to ensure efficiencies within the departments of the cancer center.

+ Maintains close collaboration with all departments and clinical areas to ensure streamlined operations of patient care activities and quality of care.

+ Oversees oncology support services; develops and implements professional and public education programs; and collaborates with community agencies as appropriate to promote cancer screening and outreach.

+ Works collaboratively with patients, employees, physicians, and organization leadership to resolve problems and issues. Fosters positive working relationships.

+ Manages, facilitates and develops processes that focus on employee and patient satisfaction.

+ Monitors program activities and physician participation, recording and reporting statistical data, including financial data to determine levels of participation and identify areas for improvement.

+ Ensures the efficient, economic and quality performance of the assigned service line and/or departments/areas of responsibility to support or provide quality health care services.

+ Assists in and collaborates with marketing to develop and implement marketing plans.

+ Ensure compliance with contracts including equipment, service, and maintenance

+ Respects the matrixed nature of the organization, building relationships and communication methods that ensures that entity and cancer center teams have a clear understanding of the reporting structure to both the Oncology Service Line Senior Directors-WSH System, while working closely with hospital leadership.

+ Serves as oncology expert on department and hospital committees and projects.

+ Reviews and recommends staffing levels, selects and assigns staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/tests competencies (as applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Ensures required licensures and certifications are current.
