Director Of Food Safety & Quality

We are seeking an experienced Director of Food Safety & Quality to lead food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance programs across our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with GMPs, FSMA, HACCP/HARPC, and GFSI standards, including BRC certification, while driving continuous improvement and building a strong food safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead food safety programs including HACCP, HARPC, allergen control, sanitation, and traceability.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and third-party auditors.
  • Lead BRC audits, customer audits, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Develop and strengthen GMP and quality programs across operations.
  • Manage QA and QC teams, supplier quality programs, and laboratory testing processes.
  • Analyze quality trends and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Build and develop a high-performing food safety and quality team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of food safety and quality experience within food manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, FSMA, HACCP/HARPC, BRC, and GFSI standards.
  • Experience working with FDA and USDA regulations.
  • HACCP and PCQI certifications preferred.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with occasional travel to support multiple facilities, suppliers, and audits.
