The Meat Wrapper is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Meat Manager and/or Assistant Meat Manager for the successful operation of the Meat Department. The role requires a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while performing defined responsibilities. The candidate must maintain high standards of customer service, comply with all current and future policies, and may be assigned additional duties as required based on business volume and supervisory decisions.

• Weigh and wrap all fresh and frozen meats.
• Check weekly ad items and program prices on scales.
• Maintain cleanliness of meat equipment and prep areas.
• Notify the scan coordinator of price changes and new items.
• Set up cases for weekly specials and update signs as required.
• Keep cases orderly, fresh, and appealing to customers by removing outdated, bloody, and unattractive products.
• Provide customers with a high level of customer service.
• Assist with proper packaging of a variety of meat products, as required.
• Check and maintain proper case temperatures daily.
