About the Role
As an Account Executive in Workday’s Field Sales Operations, you will lead the acquisition of new enterprise customers, ultimately driving Workday’s growth in the cloud software marketplace. You will partner with customers to develop solutions that transition them from legacy platforms to Workday’s cloud-based enterprise management suite.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Perform account planning for assigned accounts, coordinating with pre‑sales and other resources to ensure strategic alignment.
- Initiate and support sales of Workday solutions within large enterprise prospects, positioning Workday’s value proposition.
- Develop relationships with net new customers with a focus on deal management and connect them with Workday solutions, particularly core financials.
- Negotiate deals with C‑suite executives to close opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect pipeline and service forecast data.
- 5+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud based ERP, HCM, financial, planning, or analytics solutions to C‑level executives from a field sales position.
- 5+ years of experience collaborating with internal teams (pre‑sales, value, inside sales) to achieve quota and run multiple deals simultaneously.
- 5+ years of experience managing longer deal cycles, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities.
- Proven understanding of the strategic competitive landscape and ability to position Workday solutions effectively.
- Ability to quickly establish trust with key stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with internal team members on account strategies for short and long‑term prospecting and territory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Annualized base salary ranges for the primary location: $134,200 – $201,300 USD. Additional U.S. locations offer the same range. You may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan, role‑specific commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants. Workday provides flexible work arrangements, with a requirement to be in the office or in the field at least 50% of the time each quarter.
