, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and/or visitors regarding site rules and reporting procedures.
- Support daily operations by preparing incident and activity reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and following post orders for an unarmed patrol assignment.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
