Maintenance Mechanic- HVAC/Refrigeration Technician
Hours of position: 7:00 A.M. 3:30 P.M., Mon-Fri
Qualifications:
- HVAC technician school certification or appropriate job experience
- EPA Type 1 and 2 certifications
- Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water and building automation systems
- Valid Driver's License
Reports to:
Director of Facilities
Terms of employment:
Twelve (12) month position, Level SM1 position salary, work schedule and other conditions of employment in accordance with current District policies and York Suburban Education Support Personnel Association Agreement.
Pay range:
Wage schedules can be found on page 33 of the YSESPA negotiated agreement with a range of $19.63 - $24.83, depending on matrix placement. Candidates may also receive a specialized stipend that will be added to their regular hourly rate of pay.
Specialized stipends include:
- Refrigerant Handling & Compliance Stipend: A stipend of $2.50 per hour shall be paid for the maintenance of mandatory EPA type 1 and type 2 certifications. Certificates must be submitted during onboarding to be eligible for the stipend.
- Complex Systems & Building Automation Systems (BAS) Stipend: A stipend of $2.50 per hour shall be for the specialized management of District-wide HVAC software (e.g., Metasys, Johnson control, or equivalent).
