Boiler Service Technician

This is a full-time position located in York, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
This position will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC related systems and equipment. Boiler & HVAC Service Tech experience is required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Installs new boiler and/or HVAC units in commercial, or industrial buildings.
- Installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.
- Performs routine maintenance on boilers, burners and HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
- Instructs customers in the use of equipment.
- Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing boilers, burners and HVAC units.
- Installs replacement parts on existing boilers, burners and HVAC units.
- Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
- Complies with company, customer and industry safety standards.
- Completes work orders in a timely manner; including appropriate paperwork
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must pass child abuse clearance as well as FBI check
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of boilers, burners and HVAC systems and equipment.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate boilers, burners and HVAC system.
- Ability to read operation and repair manuals for boilers, burners and HVAC systems.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with customer.
Candidates must maintain a satisfactory driving record and successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check, child abuse clearance, and an FBI background check, in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required.
- Five years of related experience preferred.
