Maintenance Oiler

Job Description

The Oiler will lubricate and replenish oil to the molding machinery and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tools.

• Lubricate moving parts of all molding machines and robot equipment on the molding floor.
• Change oil in machines, reservoirs, and replace oil filters.
• Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts for lubrication system repairs and equipment upgrades, and take weekly inventory.
• Ensure automatic lubrication equipment operates correctly, replacing empty drums or malfunctioning lines.
• Fill oil and automatic dispensers daily on molding machines.
• Identify machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
• Determine types of repairs required during preventive maintenance, perform the maintenance, and report any additional maintenance or repair needs to Supervisor.
• Complete logs, reports, and other documentation related to installation, replacement, modification, or changing of lubrication parts.
• Remove oil and grease from machinery, tools, and the production floor.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and company laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Organize used oil and water for removal, change filters three times a week, and check the oil removal system daily.

• At least six months of related experience with production machinery, whether acquired in-company or elsewhere.
• Dependable and motivated with a good work history, accepting responsibility for work performed.
• Willingness to wear hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and additional personal protective equipment.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from elevated platforms and ladder lifts.
• 20/20 vision with correction, able to differentiate color and detect defects.
• Ability to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reaction.
• Comfortable working in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
