This opportunity is for a Residential Program Trainee to assist individuals in a residential setting with self-care skills, activities, safety practices, and socialization skills towards living full and independent lives in the community.

This position serves as a Residential Program Trainee in the Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRRS) Program. The CRRS is a residential setting in the community for individuals with chronic psychiatric disabilities.
Staff in this position help develop and implement service plans for individuals in a residential setting.
As a Residential Program Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Skills:
Assist individuals with learning self-care skills such as personal hygiene, daily living skills, safety practices, telephone use, public transportation, medication management, and money management - Support Social Connection: Assist individuals in family interactions and help them develop skills needed to live independently in the community such as problem solving, effective listening, conversational skills, interpersonal skills, good manners, and outcome actions planning
- Provide Direct Care: Assist individuals with nutrition, cooking, shopping, laundry, housekeeping, and personal hygiene skills
- Keep Accurate Records: Maintain files, assist with monthly reports, and complete documentation
- Participate in Teamwork: Notice each person’s strengths, needs, and progress in meeting goals, then provide feedback to the intra-disciplinary care team; attend trainings as needed; perform other related duties as required
- Follow Legal Requirements: Follow and ensure all your work complies with the CRRS 5310 Regulations for the Mentally Ill
- Full-time employment, 40 hour work week
- Shift work including weekends and holidays
- On occasion, staff may need to work hours outside of the set work week to complete projects, meet work demands, or in the event of an emergency.

- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
