This role focuses on supporting individuals through assessment, referral, and ongoing case management services. The work helps ensure that clients receive the care and resources they need to move toward recovery. As a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee, you will perform the following duties:
Responsibilities- Client Screening: Conduct telephone and in person screening of clients during referral contacts
- Assessment Work: Complete assessments in office or community settings to identify service needs
- Care Coordination: Arrange placements, coordinate services, and guide clients through treatment processes
- Documentation Tasks: Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and manage confidential releases
- Service Authorization: Determine funding, request authorizations, and support continuity of care
- Community Outreach: Present information, meet clients in the community, and support access to resources
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30‑minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; or a Bachelor’s Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
