Bilingual Self-Sufficiency Coach

Community Progress Council is seeking a passionate Bilingual Self-Sufficiency Coach to join our mission-driven team. In this rewarding role, you'll empower individuals and families on their path to greater independence through personalized coaching, advocacy, and resource navigation.

As a key link between clients, community partners, and agency programs, you'll help identify and address barriers to self-sufficiency while connecting individuals with the tools and support they need to thrive. Using insights from our Community Needs Assessment, you'll also help identify service gaps, strengthen community partnerships, and contribute to innovative solutions that create lasting impact across York County.

Responsibilities
  • Champion CPC's mission, vision, and values in every interaction.
  • Build strong partnerships with community organizations to coordinate services and expand resources for clients.
  • Monitor community needs and identify opportunities to strengthen programs and support systems.
  • Co-facilitate Getting Ahead in a Just-Getting-By World workshops to engage and empower participants.
  • Provide one-on-one, Family-Centered Coaching to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths, barriers, and resource needs.
  • Support clients in goal setting, financial stability, education, career planning, and decision-making.
  • Deliver client-centered coaching in accessible community locations while maintaining accurate, timely documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted mentor and advocate, ensuring confidential and responsive access to services.
  • Prepare reports and represent CPC at community meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Participate in professional development, organizational initiatives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute flexibly to additional projects and responsibilities that advance CPC's mission.

  • Leadership: Exhibits leadership qualities and, when applicable, offers effective supervision, mentorship, and guidance to team members.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field preferred, with at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates with 60+ college credits in a related field and equivalent experience are also encouraged to apply. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual Skills: Spanish fluency required to effectively support and engage our diverse community.
  • Transportation & Flexibility: Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation required. Flexibility to work from various agency locations as needed.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong ability to analyze information, interpret regulations and professional resources, and make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces change, and contributes wherever needed to support organizational goals.
