Concrete Mixer Driver
Kinsley Materials is currently seeking concrete mixer drivers for our growing team in York, PA. Have a valid CDL Class B license? Are you seeking experience in commercial driving? Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn? If you answer yes, then this position is for you!
The concrete mixer driver is mainly responsible for transporting and hauling concrete from one location to another. Previous experience driving a mixer truck is not required. Successful candidates must have a valid CDL Class B driver's license, a professional attitude and ability to work as a team player.
Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.
Typical responsibilities/essential functions include:
- Comply with all federal and state commercial driving rules and regulations.
- Maintain driving log/records according to state and federal regulations.
- Complete pre-post trip vehicle inspection reports.
- Must have and maintain clean driving record (MVR).
- Maneuver truck properly under plant to receive loads of concrete.
- Verify load ticket information matches assigned job on tablet-based dispatch system.
- Deliver products to customer safely and efficiently.
- Follow schedule for pickups and deliveries of materials.
- Clearly communicate and work with customers while pouring concrete on jobsites.
- Install chute extensions for further reach at the customer's request.
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck including proper daily cleaning of mixer drum.
- Communicate with dispatch and plant operator by using tablet-based dispatch system or two-way radio.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements include:
- Commercial Driver's License Class B is required.
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must possess a good sense of direction.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and those contacted in the course of work.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to dispatch office.
- Must reliably get to work on time.
- Required dress includes safety toed shoes, PPE, shirt with minimum 3" sleeves, long pants.
