Job Summary: Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist with strong cost controls experience and proficiency in scheduling using Primavera P6. This role involves performing complex aspects of cost controls, estimates, and scheduling while reporting to program or portfolio level with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will develop advanced skills and work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues.
They will be fully competent in project controls principles and procedures, identifying problems, developing solutions, and taking actions to resolve them.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex aspects of cost controls, estimates, and scheduling.
- Report to program or portfolio level with minimal supervision.
- Develop advanced skills and work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues.
- Fully competent in project controls principles and procedures.
- Identify problems, develop solutions, and take actions to resolve them.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience.
- Minimum of 9 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficient in project controls principles.
- Proficiency/Expertise with project management/project controls concepts, computer applications, and analytics.
- P6 experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business, finance, project management, or equivalent.
- PMI or AACE certification (acceptable certifications include PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).
- Experience with software such as MS Project/MS Office Suite, Primavera, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, People Soft.
- Familiarity with risk management tools and Monte Carlo analysis.
Compensation:
$60 - $65/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
