Job Summary

Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods by applying knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. The role supports manufacturing efficiency, quality, safety, and cost objectives and may function at varying levels of complexity depending on experience.

Job Duties
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules or other information to facilitate production processes
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and coordinate equipment, material, and parts purchases
  • Evaluate products and processes against specifications and quality standards
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
  • Perform work under direct to moderate supervision
  • Handle complex issues and problems, and refer only the most complex issues to higher‑level staff
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
  • Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate group
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
Entry to Mid‑Level 0–5 years of experience
  • Handle basic to moderately complex issues; evade complex problems as needed
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles
Senior‑Level 5–10 years of experience
  • Perform work under minimal supervision
  • Handle complex issues independently and provide technical leadership
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to junior team members
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Technical Skills (Level‑Dependent Proficiency)
  • Mechanical design and equipment development
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD, Solid Works)
  • Machining experience:
  • Basic to intermediate operation of small machining centers and lathes
  • General understanding to hands‑on programming experience
  • Electrical fundamentals:
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints
  • Understanding of wiring methods and ladder logic
  • Programming exposure (e.g., ladder logic, Python or similar) preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
