Wound Care Treatment Registered Nurse (Full Time or Part Time)
Job Details:
White Oak Manor York – 111 S Congress Street, York, SC 29745. Position is full time or part time. Salary range is $33.00 – $37.00 per hour. Shift is day.
- Provide specialized wound care treatment for residents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care interventions, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and chronic ulcers.
- Perform wound assessments, measurements, documentation, and ongoing monitoring of healing progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and best practices in wound management.
- Educate nursing staff, patients, and families on wound care prevention and treatment.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to skin integrity and wound care outcomes.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina.
- Previous experience in wound care, treatment nursing, or long‑term care preferred.
- Certification in wound care (WCC, WOCN, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and wound care protocols.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with strong attention to detail.
- Graduate of a state‑approved school of Nursing.
- Must be in good physical and mental health and must be kind, considerate, understanding and enjoy working with elderly people.
- Must possess skills necessary for acting as charge nurse or supervisor on a given unit when assigned.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel.
- Experience in a skilled nursing or post‑acute care setting.
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Experience with quality measures and regulatory compliance.
- Stoop: required 20% to 29% of the time.

- Kneel: required 1% to 9% of the time.
- Stand: required 80% to 89% of the time.
- Walk: required 80% to 89% of the time.
- Walking surfaces: slippery floors and wheelchair ramp.
- Push: required 10% to 19% of the time.
- Lift: required 20% to 29% of the time.
- Feel: required 1% to 9% of the time.
- Communicate: required 90% to 99% of the time.
- Hear: required 90% to 99% of the time.
- Mid‑range vision: required 50% to 59% of the time.
- Color vision: required 1% to 9% of the time.
- Job involves mostly standing.
- Worker is subject to hazards 1% to 9% of the time; hazards include closeness of moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, heights, extreme temperatures, and hazardous and/or infectious materials.
- Special equipment is worn 20% to 29% of the time, such as disposable gloves and mask with or without eye shield.
