Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in York, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, support access control and badge checks, and assist with screening operations as needed.
You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while delivering professional communication and customer service.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to appropriate personnel and/or public agency partners as required by post orders.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items, and directing visitors to the proper check-in areas per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations; maintain required permits, training, and equipment readiness consistent with an armed post.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
