Pro Force Staffing is seeking Journeymen Electricians to start ASAP for our project in Rock Hill, SC!

Job Summary

The Journey-level Electrician is an electrical craftsman that performs a wide range of skills including installation of complex electrical systems, troubleshooting, repair, demolition, maintenance, layout, cleanup, remodel or other related activities in a safe manner. These activities are safely performed in a variety of settings including construction, existing facilities, roadways, industrial, healthcare, service, commercial, governmental and other facets of the electrical industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds in compliance with OSHA and Miller safety protocols.
• Performs work with a high degree of craftsmanship, with manual and technical competency in compliance of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Locates and determines electrical malfunctions using test equipment and repairs malfunctions by such methods as testing, cleaning and maintenance.
• Performs tests on electrical equipment, such as, motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions.
• Installs light fixtures, wiring, boxes, conduits, panels and other electrical equipment in a safe, neat and workman-like manner.
• Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems.
• Performs other duties as may be required.
• Perform manual labor as required that may include:
• Manual excavation
• Bending and installing various types of conduits
• Pulling and terminate wire
• Lifting 50 pounds (panels, lights, boxes, cable reels, etc.)
• Working with hands overhead
• Using heavy equipment
• Work at higher elevations using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts as directed

Qualifications

• Have minimum 12,000 field hours that are documented and verifiable on a commercial or industrial job site and also be confirmed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of the electrical trade, codes and safety.
• Requires initiative and ingenuity to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
• Ability to sustain considerable physical effort at frequent intervals.
• Must own your own hand tools (no cordless tools)

Hours:

Monday-Saturday 5 10-hour days, 1 8-hour day (58-hour work week)
