Deputy Manager

Walmgate Day Nursery is a small, private nursery with a warm family feel, where every child is truly known and valued by all staff. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to join our friendly team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys working closely with children, families and colleagues in a nurturing environment. We would also encourage experienced Room Leaders who are ready to take the next step in their career and aspire to become a Deputy Manager to apply.

The successful candidate will:

• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
• Lead and inspire staff to provide high-quality childcare and learning experiences
• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Help maintain our welcoming, caring and inclusive atmosphere

We are looking for someone who is:

• Minimum Level 3 qualified in Early Years Childcare
• Experienced in a nursery setting
• Organised, approachable and motivated
• Passionate about giving every child the very best start

An absolute gem of a nursery! The staff are so caring, sweet, and attentive. They organize amazing activities focused on learning, play, and language discovery. They were also extremely helpful and accommodating at the last minute. We’ve had a wonderful experience and highly recommend them!

The nursery manager, Lucy and all the staff have worked hard in supporting me and my son improve his speech which is greatly appreciated. We used Walmgate Day Nursery when we were looking for somewhere our son could go to for a few hours while we attended a funeral. We are not local and didn’t have anyone else that could have him. They are so flexible and accommodating, and the staff were really friendly. He loved it there! It’s so nice to know that this service is provided, and will definitely consider sending him here again in the future should we need someone to have him.
