An opportunity to join a leading environmental consultancy, specialising in chemical risk assessment for clients across the chemicals, biocides and PPP sectors.
You'll work on a variety of technical projects supporting the environmental risk assessment of chemicals, developing expertise in chemical exposure, environmental fate and regulatory risk assessment.
Your work will include:
- Assessing the environmental fate, behaviour and effects of chemicals
- Modelling and interpreting environmental exposure data
- Undertaking chemical exposure and regulatory risk assessments
- Supporting clients with regulatory requirements in the UK, EU and internationally
- Preparing technical reports and delivering presentations
Projects cover a diverse range of substances including industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metals, biocides and plant protection products.
You'll ideally have:
- An MSc or higher in chemistry, biology, toxicology, environmental science or a related discipline
- An interest in chemical risk assessment and environmental science
- Ideally 1-2 years' relevant experience
- Experience of REACH, chemical exposure/risk assessment or environmental consultancy would be advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and scientific communication skills
