Salary: A GBP 32,000 – A GBP 34,000 starting salary

Field Service Engineer role available in a highly successful manufacturer of forklift trucks. The role will suit those looking to join an employee‑driven company offering comprehensive training and support. The role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment or similar. It is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry, as the company will fully train.

You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

No extensive travel is required. Excellent on‑target earnings available through overtime and commission.

• Carry out compulsory preventive maintenance (PPM) and breakdown work on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis.
• Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area.
• Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
• Keep spares in van overnight.

• Must have experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable.
• Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Must be IT literate.
