Heavy Vehicle & Machinery Fitter (Permanent)

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus OT

4 on 4 off (Days/Nights)

Join a UK wide engineering company at their Leeds site on a permanent basis. The role involves servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist heavy vehicles with investment in professional training and development.

• Adhere to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards.
• Ensure company engineering standards and procedures are applied and followed.
• Mechanically and electrically maintain, service, fault find in vehicles in accordance with approved maintenance plans.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork for examinations and repairs is correctly completed to company standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Read mechanical and electrical schematics.

• Commitment to safe working practices.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.

The successful applicant should be a safety conscious and motivated self‑starter, a fully versatile team member with well‑established experience within a heavy engineering background such as Automotive, Heavy Plant, Bus, HGV, Rail or Military. A flexible approach to working hours is essential as Leeds operates a 24/7 shift roster.
