Black Student Association Sponsor
The Black Student Association Sponsor will supervise students during meetings. The Sponsor will supervise students in planning and executing events throughout the year. The Sponsor will organize approved fundraisers throughout the year in order to meet the needs of the club's expenses as applicable. The Black Student Association will meet to celebrate African American Culture as well as plan for school wide celebrations of the culture through Black History Month.
Maintains attendance records for club meetings and events. Facilitates and oversees activities run during the meetings. Coordinate school wide activities to celebrate African American History and Culture. Works within the given budget and keeps accurate records of the monies used and received. Follows fundraising procedures according to District policies. Recruits student participants each school year. Requests room space for meetings and events.
Manages and supervises the use of facilities during activities and events. Confirms the security of the facilities. Ensures that students have a way to get home and remains present until the last student is released. Promotes and publicizes club meetings and events. Engages students in community service activities. Maintains positive relationships with students and interacts with students and adults in a respectful manner.
Collaborates with administration to maintain the vision of the Strategic Goals and purpose of the club/activity. Uses appropriate channels to resolve concerns and problems. Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the club. Completes all training and certification required by the District. Works with community members to enhance the program offerings, mentor the students, and assist in fundraiser and community service activities.
Assists with writing college letters of recommendation for students per their request. Maintains a variety of documents including club's activity account budget, as applicable. Maintains field trip requests, as applicable. Makes transportation requests a minimum of 20 days in advance. Communicates all student achievements and accomplishments within the program to the activity director in a timely fashion so that they can be highlighted in parent/staff and student communication.

Qualifications/
Skills:
Organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision. Must show evidence of strong leadership and organizational skills. Previous successful experience in sponsorship/mentoring preferred. Substantial knowledge in the area of student support, as well as familiarity with student discipline and safety protocols.
Salary Range:
Head Level 1: $1,209- $2,893 based on experience
