Accounting, Tax Accountant, Tax Manager

Our client is looking for a Tax Preparer.

The Tax Preparer is responsible for preparing accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and/or businesses. This role ensures compliance with applicable tax laws while providing professional support and guidance to clients throughout the tax preparation process.

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Review financial records, income statements, and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax‑saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
• Communicate with clients to gather required documentation and clarify tax‑related questions
• Maintain accurate and organized tax files and work papers
• Assist with amended returns, extensions, and tax projections as needed
• Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations
• Support audits and respond to tax notices when applicable
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company financial information

• Prior tax experience (individual or Business)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• EA or CPA credential a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations
• Experience with multi‑state returns
• Extended hours may be required during tax season

• Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Ultra Tax, Pro System fx, Drake, Lacerte, or similar)
