Summary of Position
Provides operational, logistical, and programmatic support for leadership and experiential learning initiatives serving high school and college students through the Tressel Institute for Leadership & Teamwork. Coordinates day-to-day program activities, events, communications, and student staffing in collaboration with program leadership, school districts, campus partners, and community organizations. Ensures the daily function of operations and services related to any assigned program, initiative, or objective.
Works under general supervision and may make some work procedural decisions which do not contravene policies; generally, determines work sequences (which task comes first) within any department/divisional guidelines. Supports multiple programs and projects simultaneously and contributes to the effective implementation of program goals and learning experiences.
Position Information
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Coordinates operational, logistical, and administrative support for assigned leadership and experiential learning programs and program components serving high school and college students.
Coordinates program and event logistics, including schedules, registrations, communications, facilities, materials, catering, transportation, staffing, on-site support, and follow-up, in collaboration with program leadership.
Assists with planning and delivery of institutes, workshops, retreats, and special events held on campus, in the community, and at partner sites.
Serves as a primary point of coordination and communication, in collaboration with program leadership, with supervisors, staff, student employees, school districts, community partners, and campus offices to support outreach and successful program implementation.
Supports the development and delivery of curriculum and learning experiences, including preparation of materials, coordination of guest speakers, and management of learning resources, as directed.
Coordinates site logistics, communications, and required documentation with partner organizations for assigned programs or activities.
Assists with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supervision of student employees, peer coaches, mentors, and activity leaders.
Maintains accurate records, collects data, and prepares routine reports and documentation related to assigned programs in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Ensures timely and effective communication with stakeholders to support daily operations and program goals.
Stays informed of relevant policies and best practices.
Coordinates daily tasks related to one or more assigned components of overall programs and/or services as assigned.
Regularly communicates with supervisor and other staff, including student workers, as required or needed in the completion of daily tasks in support of overall goals and objectives.
Prepares and maintains accurate records of daily tasks in accordance with applicable policies and procedures and assures timely communication with supervisor, staff, and students where appropriate.
Gathers data and prepares reports and other information/documentation for supervisory review?related to programs and/or services, or one or more assigned components.
Prepares for and attends events.
Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; participates in staff development activities; attends meetings, conferences, and other events.
Other Functions and Responsibilities:
Assists with training new hires.
Performs other duties as assigned and/or required that are within the level of responsibility for this classification at the discretion of the supervisor.
Equipment Operated:
Computer and all other standard office equipment.
Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures:
Valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of: university policies and procedures*; office practices and procedures; department/division goals and objectives*; department/division policies and procedures*; workplace safety practices and procedures*;
English grammar and spelling; records management; office management.
Skill in: use of office equipment; typing, data entry; computer operation; use of computer software and other programs applicable to the assigned department/division*.
