Seasonal position (roughly September through May) at Covelli Centre.
DescriptionPerforms and supervises ice rink operations. Coordinate ice rink and Zamboni maintenance. This is a working supervisory position.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Leads ice rink builds
- Drives and maintains Zambonis
- Oversees ice rink operations
- Assigns ice crew tasks to perform
- Works alongside Operations Manager and Conversion Supervisor to schedule ice crew and delegate tasks
- Record and monitor ice rink data to ensure ice quality
- Present and working all hockey games and rentals, coordinating with league officials as necessary
- Evaluates work sheets and provides feedback in order to increase efficiency among crews.
- Tracks inventory of ice paint, Zamboni parts, blades, and other rink consumables
Ice Crew
Position Requirements4 years experience operating ice resurfacing equipment. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Able to stand for long periods of time.
