News Producer

WKBN-TV is looking for an energetic, creative Full‑Time News Producer with strong news judgment, solid writing skills, and a passion to win. We’re seeking a journalist who goes beyond stacking a rundown—someone who finds original content and tells meaningful stories in compelling ways across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

This role produces daily newscasts and contributes to WKBN+, our growing digital streaming platform, helping shape how we tell stories across multiple screens.

• Build and produce engaging newscasts and streaming content
• Write, edit, and organize stories for newscasts
• Pitch original story ideas and contribute to editorial decision‑making
• Monitor scanners, phones, social, and digital sources for breaking news
• Collaborate with anchors, MMJs, and newsroom staff daily

• Strong writing, grammar, and storytelling skills
• Solid news judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and thrive under deadline pressure
• Team player who communicates well across departments

• All shifts possible, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
