Part-time Faculty, Plant Biology

Summary of Position

The Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences at Youngstown State University is seeking qualified applicants for part-time teaching by semester primarily in our Field Botany, Plant Diversity, or Plant Physiology lecture and laboratory courses, or for General Biology lecture/lab courses as needed.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

At least a Master of Science Degree in Biology or closely related field must be completed before the start date.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching college-level biology courses, particularly lecture and laboratory courses in botany, plant diversity, or plant physiology.
