Summary of Position
This position oversees YSU's online graduate programs that prepare licensed K-12 school principals and superintendents. Specific responsibilities include instruction, advising, collection and monitoring of assessment data, monitoring of internship site placements, administration of comprehensive exams, verification of degree completion and eligibility for licensure, and coordination with the department chair and administrative specialist in all other matters related to the successful functioning of the two programs.
Depending on qualifications, the person appointed to this position may also teach in the educational doctoral program, advise doctoral candidates, and sit on dissertation committees. Specific assignments may vary by semester based on program needs as determined by the department chair.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.
Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures:
Valid Ohio principal and superintendent licensure at time of appointment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctoral degree in educational administration or related field by date of appointment. Minimum 3 years successful experience as a K-12 school superintendent, minimum 3 years of successful experience as a K-12 school principal, and a minimum 3 years of successful experience as a K-12 classroom teacher.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful teaching experience in higher education. Successful online teaching experience. Demonstrated record of success in teaching doctoral students and supporting dissertation work.
