Part-time Faculty, Chemistry - Chemical & Biological Sciences

Position Information

Teach courses and labs in Chemistry offered by the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences. Provide timely feedback to students, communicate with the department chair, and execute both lecture and lab sections.

Plan, organize, teach, and provide feedback to promote and direct student success. Respond to students in a timely manner. Communicate with students, departments, and university officials via university‑provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, mostly late afternoon or early evening. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None.

Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Minimum Qualifications: At least an earned master’s degree in chemistry or related discipline in the physical sciences field; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Chemistry or a related discipline.

Physical Requirements: This position is sedentary. Tasks involve sitting for most of the time and may require walking or standing for brief periods. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

At time of hire, all candidates must provide official transcripts in an unopened, sealed envelope bearing the embossed or raised college seal, date, and Registrar's signature.
