Part-time Faculty, Literacy Education - Teacher Education and Leadership Studies

Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the Literacy program for graduate and undergraduate students.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of the Science of Reading.
• Facilitate engaging, interactive classroom experiences.
• Foster a dynamic learning environment.
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum and align with industry best practices.
• Stay abreast of current trends and developments in literacy to continually enhance instructional approaches.
• Provide timely feedback, assessment, and support to students, promoting their academic and professional growth.
• Plan, organize, teach, and provide feedback to promote and direct student success.
• Respond to students in a timely manner.
• Communicate with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

• Aearned master's degree in Literacy or Teaching with a Literacy focus.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures:
  None.

Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands, this position will perform sedentary work. The job involves sitting most of the time with occasional exertion up to 10 pounds.
