Part-time Faculty, Early Childhood Education​/Early Childhood Intervention Specialist

Teaching Responsibilities

Teach courses in the Elementary Education/Special Education (EARLY/SPED) dual program courses. Provide in-depth knowledge of elementary education and special education. Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom experiences and foster a dynamic learning environment. Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the curriculum and align it with industry best practices. Stay abreast of current trends and developments in elementary education and special education to continually enhance instructional approaches.

Provide timely feedback, assessment, and support to students, promoting their academic and professional growth. Plan, organize, teach, and provide feedback to promote and direct student success. Respond to students in a timely manner. Communicate with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Typically Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Earned master’s degree in elementary education or special education. Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work. Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Jobs may be defined as sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
