Position Summary

Part-time Faculty, Counseling – counseling, school psychology and education leadership across multiple locations.

Faculty positions are pooled; appointments are made on an as‑needed/rolling basis.

Faculty will teach undergraduate courses in the Minor in Counseling and/or graduate‑level courses in the Counseling Program in the Department of Psychological Sciences and Counseling, contributing to the preparation of licensed clinical mental health counselors, school counselors, addiction counselors, college counselors, and student affairs professionals in accordance with CACREP standards.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials through university‑provided tools and resources.

Work schedule:

typically Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Primary location:
Youngstown.

Qualifications and Competencies

Required certifications, training, and licensures:
None.

Sponsorship and work authorization:
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Minimum qualifications:

Earned master’s degree in counseling (including counseling specialty areas such as clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, addiction counseling, college counseling, or student affairs degrees); at least two years of related experience; authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Preferred qualifications:

Earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP‑accredited program; licensure as a counselor; evidence of professional engagement (professional development and training activities, professional service contributions, ongoing counseling practice, research, and scholarly activity).
