Part-time Faculty, Teacher Education and Leadership Studies - Steubenville

Teaching Responsibilities

Teach courses in the Teacher Education program. Provide basic knowledge of pedagogy, student differences, and the teaching profession. Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom experiences and foster a dynamic learning environment. Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the curriculum and align it with professional best practices. Stay abreast of current trends and developments to continually enhance instructional approaches. Provide timely feedback, assessment, and support to students, promoting their academic and professional growth.

Must be able to provide regular in-person instruction as assigned.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments will be face to face at the Steubenville campus.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

At least an earned master's degree in education or related content field; 3 years successful teaching experience in P-12 schools; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Experience as a licensed teacher; experience teaching at college level.

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.

Sedentary work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
