The successful candidate will have a solid ability to prepare, direct, and deliver instruction to students in special needs classes. Candidate will demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy and knowledge of Pennsylvania's Academic Standards. Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education 7‑12 certification (content area certificate required for issuance).
- Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK‑12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013/content area certificate required).
- If applicant requires a PDE Emergency Permit, contract eligibility is not applicable, and the vacancy becomes a Long Term Substitute position.
