Part-time Faculty, Paralegal -Humanities and Social Sciences

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

• Teach core paralegal courses, including Introduction to Paralegal Studies, Torts, Contracts, and related subjects.
• Effectively direct paralegal practicums.
• Provide regular in-person instruction as assigned and may also teach remote courses.
• Respond to students in a timely manner and promote student success.

• Master’s degree in legal studies, a Juris Doctor, or equivalent professional paralegal experience.
• Ability to teach standard paralegal courses and direct practicums.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Experience in online and in-person teaching of paralegal practicums (preferred).

Typically Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be made at YSU’s main location in Youngstown, Ohio, the Steubenville, Ohio location, or for remote courses.

Primary location:
Youngstown.

Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking, standing, or light lifting (up to 10 pounds). The position is classified as sedentary.
