Plant Operators
- Johnston Land Fill Gas to Electric Plant
- Up to $29/hr
- Youngstown, OH
Archaea Energy is seeking Plant Operators for their Johnston Land Fill Gas to Electric Plant. This role involves the safe operation, maintenance, and performance of reciprocating engines in a landfill gas-fueled power plant. Ideal candidates will have 1-5 years of relevant experience and a strong dedication to safety and compliance.

- Ability to read and interpret operations and safety manuals
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills for plant equipment
- Digital literacy (Word, Excel, PLC, email systems)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, crouch, bend, kneel for extended periods, and work in loud and hot environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Pre-employment drug test and background check required
- Experience with CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines or similar piston engines
- Experience monitoring plant operations and performing maintenance and repairs on generators and ancillary equipment
