This role is focused on delivering custom automation and controls systems end-to-end, from initial concept through to commissioning and startup. You'll work closely with both internal teams and customers to design, build, and deploy complex systems.

This role is focused on delivering custom automation and controls systems end-to-end, from initial concept through to commissioning and startup. You'll work closely with both internal teams and customers to design, build, and deploy complex systems.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with customers and internal teams to define system requirements
- Take projects from concept through to fully functional systems from a blank sheet of paper
- Develop engineering documentation including BOMs, panel layouts, and electrical schematics
- Work across technologies including PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and embedded programming
- Apply modern automation technologies to solve complex, process-specific challenges
- Support commissioning, startup, and field service at customer sites (travel required)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering
- 5+ years of automation / controls engineering experience
- Experience with in manufacturing environments (metals, automotive, food, pharma, or similar)
- Strong communication skills with ability to produce clear documentation
- Self-motivated with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
