Head Athletic Trainer; Marietta College - OH - D3

The Head Athletic Trainer works under the supervision of the Athletic Director and supervises the care of student-athletes participating in the College's athletic programs. This is a full-time, 10-month position.

Responsibilities include:

• Directing athletic training for intercollegiate athletics and overseeing the athletic training room.
• Coordinating medical coverage for athletic events.
• Managing Athletic Trainers in injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation.
• Determining, with physician advice, when athletes can safely return to participation.
• Developing and implementing departmental policies, processes, and procedures.

• Providing and supervising medical services for teams, including injury prevention, recognition, acute care, and rehabilitation.
• Organizing and administering athletic training, including pre-participation physicals, maintaining medical records, and covering practices and events.
• Communicating with team physicians and supervising staff and students involved in athletic training.

• Proficiency with athletic training equipment, modalities, and software.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Ability to manage emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Teamwork mindset prioritizing student-athlete well-being.

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's degree required;
  Master's preferred.
• BOC Certified and Ohio Licensed in Athletic Training.
• 2-4 years of college athletic training experience preferred.
• ARC Certifications in CPR and Responding to Emergencies are a plus.
