Job Title:

Admissions Director Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Admissions Director to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, guiding them through the admissions process with compassion and professionalism. You will work closely with residents, families, referral sources, and internal staff to ensure smooth and efficient admissions in alignment with our facility’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for admissions, ensuring all required information and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with hospitals, physicians, and other referral sources to increase referrals and community awareness.
  • Promote facility services by planning and coordinating tours, special events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and guardians to provide clear communication and support throughout the admission process.
  • Maintain accurate records of bed availability, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Assist new residents and their families with orientation to the facility.
  • Support marketing and census development efforts through community engagement and relationship-building.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education in healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care sales/marketing or admissions.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid insurance processes preferred.
  • Proficient typing skills (minimum 35 WPM) and experience with a 10-key calculator.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work tactfully and professionally with residents, families, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
