Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary

Jewish Family & Community Services is seeking an experienced LPCC or LISW for a part‑time mental health counselor position (3 days per week). Office space is provided. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Jewish Family & Community Services is a non‑profit social services agency that offers programs such as guardian ships, counseling and case management. It is a historic provider of services and a respected member of the Youngstown human services network, incorporated under the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation.

• Offer counseling sessions to clients addressing a range of mental health concerns.
• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and create personalized treatment plans.
• Ensure a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for clients from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds.
• Adhere to agency record‑keeping standards, ensuring all documentation is timely, detailed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws at all times.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Must hold a current Ohio LPCC or LISW license. Ability to work with all ages and backgrounds. Candidates must pass FBI/BCI background check and drug testing.
