Cherish Hospice is seeking a dedicated PRN Spiritual Care Counselor to join our compassionate team in Youngstown, Ohio. This vital role provides flexible, as-needed spiritual support to patients, families, and caregivers during one of life's most sacred transitions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized spiritual counseling and support to patients, families, and caregivers
- Conduct spiritual assessments within 5 days of patient admission
- Honor diverse beliefs while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Offer bereavement support and facilitate meaningful conversations as appropriate

- Ordained, commissioned, or credentialed according to the practices of a recognized religious organization, OR
- Bachelor's degree in theology, divinity, religious studies, or seminary education
- Current licensure or certification as applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Spiritual Care Counselor in a hospice setting (Required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care while respecting diverse spiritual beliefs and practices
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds
Ability to provide comfort during difficult times
