Paediatric Dietitian
Health and Care Jersey is seeking a keen and dedicated Paediatric Dietitian to work alongside our children's therapy teams in the Child Development & Therapy Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian with a passion for delivering high quality, family centred care to infants, children and young people with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
The successful candidate will manage a varied and complex paediatric caseload, working autonomously to provide expert nutritional assessment, treatment and advice. As a highly valued member of the service you will contribute to service developments, quality improvement and the ongoing advancement of paediatric dietetic care across Jersey.
To work as a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian, providing expert clinical knowledge, autonomous decision-making, and strategic input to manage a diverse paediatric caseload with a variety of acute and chronic diseases across Health and Care Jersey (HCJ).
Act as a clinical expert in the assessment, diagnosis and management of infants, children and young people with:
- Faltering growth, complex feeding issues, food allergies/ intolerances
- Coeliac disease, IBD, GI disorders
- Diabetes (type
1) - Neurodivergence and enteral feeding (including home enteral care)
- Neonatal nutrition (including NICU/SCBU support, breast milk fortication, growth monitoring, parenteral nutrition input)
- Outpatients and community paediatric clinics.
The post holder will also take responsibility for developing the service, supporting governance and providing specialist advice across the wider health and social care system.
The post holder is expected to work independently as the sole paediatric dietitian within the service, with access to professional supervision and peer support via external networks and/ or remote colleagues.
