Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our manufacturing team in Youngstown, Ohio. In this role, you will focus on payroll management and human resources support while also contributing to workplace safety initiatives. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering a great opportunity for growth and long-term stability.

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for employees efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll regulations.

- Handle full-cycle payroll tasks, including maintaining records and addressing employee inquiries.

- Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll management and reporting.

- Collaborate with management to implement and monitor safety protocols and workplace compliance measures.

- Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality while managing benefits administration.

- Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings and coordinating interviews.

- Track and report workplace safety incidents, participating in audits and safety meetings.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

- Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, HR policies, and safety matters. Requirements - Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payroll and managing payroll for over 500 employees.

- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

- Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and compliance standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.

- Prior experience in HR, payroll, or workplace safety is highly desirable.
