Broadband Hospitality, a leading provider of hospitality interactive application development and technology services, has an immediate opportunity for a PBX Engineer.

Job Description:

A PBX Engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), serial data service, digital T1/PRI, routers, and analog voice services, telephones, fax machine lines, and telephone switching equipment (PBX).

Responsibilities:
  • Support field installation technicians during projects
  • Support engineering and tier 2 technicians
  • Support BBH Headquarters VOIP PBX and SIP Carrier systems
  • Help design BOM for installation of IP/Analog PBX systems
  • Document IP/Analog PBX systems for support/installation technicians
  • Installation sheet creation that contains inventory/credentials/IP/analog port mapping for the field installation technicians
  • Configuration documentation of PBX systems equipment that is transferred to support after handover
  • Work with Engineering to provision a network for the purpose of VOIP functionality
  • Provide Network Engineering with network configurations from a VOIP system perspective
  • Activation, troubleshooting, and porting of VOIP for service delivery
  • Troubleshooting of VOIP, Analog extensions, and phone lines
  • Setup/maintain testing lab for PBX systems
  • Work with multiple vendors to test new products and approve them for product
Skills Required:
  • We require that you have 3+ years of experience with PBX systems provisioning/configuration/troubleshooting/installaion
  • General knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless
  • MITEL Certifications
Skills Preferred:
  • Access log files
  • Work with config files
  • SIP Gateways
  • Adtran Grands
  • treamIP
  • PolycoPBX
  • Ability to use and understand packet captures
  • Blueprint reading and markup (Example: Bluebeam Revu)
  • Network Monitoring Tools
