Position: Maintenance Manager – Apartment Community

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing property management company seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations for a large apartment community in Austintown, just outside Youngstown, Ohio
. This full-time, salaried role includes competitive pay, strong benefits, and after 90 days of employment, a free one-bedroom apartment
. Employees who prefer a two-bedroom unit may upgrade by paying the rent difference.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead daily maintenance activities and coordinate repair, preventive, and capital projects across the property.
  • Train and guide maintenance technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all work performed.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and service partners for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and snow removal.
  • Oversee unit turns and move-in readiness, working closely with the suite prep team to meet occupancy goals.
  • Monitor budgets, order supplies, and track inventory to support timely project completion.
  • Conduct inspections, maintain building systems, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as backup for the on-call rotation and assist with major emergencies as needed.
What You’ll Bring
  • Solid experience in property or facilities maintenance leadership.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Proven ability to manage staff, vendors, and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills and calm, hands-on leadership style.
  • Comfort using property management or maintenance software (Yardi, Real Page, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Trade or HVAC certification is a plus.
