Facilities Technician – Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course

Job located in Youngstown, OH. Apply for the Facilities Technician position to work within a fast‑paced entertainment environment.

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, equipment, and associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property.
• Assist in maintenance tasks on the race track as needed.
• Carry out preventive maintenance in conjunction with all building maintenance and cleanliness activities.
• Submit requests for expenditures related to repairs, upkeep, and improvements to the Manager of Facilities.
• Support all exterior grounds activities, including snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, parking garage, and other exterior area needs.
• Support all sanitation processes, including rodent and pest control.
• Perform painting, structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, wallpaper, and furnishings of buildings.
• Support installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and water distribution, including fire suppression, sewerage facilities, and fresh water pumping stations.
• Accountable for OSHA compliance at Hollywood Gaming and serve as an active participant of Safety compliance.
• Implement and monitor controls to assure compliance with all federal, state, corporate, and property laws, policies, and mandates.
• Interact effectively and positively across departmental lines.
• Work as a team player.
• Monitor control systems for building and related water system.
• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Other duties, as needed.

• Two years related experience and/or training preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Read and interpret documents in English (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures).
• Read and communicate verbally in English.
• Write in English, as required.

• Add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals.
• Perform operations using U.S. money, weight, volume, and distance units.
• Operate an adding machine and basic computer skills.

• Apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Handle problems with multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Possess required licenses and permits by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history as required by Penn National Gaming.

Regular standing and use of hands; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; low‑visual acuity; push, pull, carry, lift up to 25 lbs.; bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, balance in varying work areas including confined spaces. Drug‑free required.

• Noise level usually moderate.
• Employees are under audio surveillance in limited areas; performance may be recorded.
• Exposure to second‑hand tobacco smoke possible.
