Full time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.

Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule.

Welder

Ohio Valley Waste (Youngstown) is seeking welders/fabricators to repair vehicle bodies and fabricate steel and aluminum components for both trucks and equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safe use of mig and arc welding equipment and other fabricating machines to cut and manufacture patches or repair areas on containers or trucks.
Must comply with all company policies, laws, safety, and environmental regulations.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 1 year welding experience or Welding Technician diploma.
Experience with a plasma torch as well as mig and arc welding equipment preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, and push/pull required.
Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-75 lbs. for short distances.
