As Warehouse Manager, you will lead all warehouse operations with a strong emphasis on people leadership, safety, training, and labor relations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who has successfully managed unionized warehouse teams and understands how to drive performance through engagement, accountability, and continuous development.
You will be responsible for building a well-trained, high-performing team while ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant warehouse operations.
Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, shipping, and material flow
- Manage, coach, and develop a unionized warehouse workforce, fostering a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for union relations, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and company policies
- Place a strong emphasis on training and onboarding, ensuring all team members are properly trained on safety, SOPs, equipment, and best practices
- Develop frontline supervisors and leads through ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and leadership development
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the warehouse
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, transportation, production, HR) to support business objectives
- Monitor labor productivity, staffing levels, attendance, and overtime to meet operational demands
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, labor requirements, and internal standards
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflow, and team effectiveness
- Proven warehouse management experience leading teams in a union environment
- Strong background in training, developing, and leading hourly warehouse employees
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with hourly associates
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to set clear expectations and hold teams accountable
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling
- Commitment to safety, employee engagement, and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills
