this position is responsible for supporting production equipment in two high speed container manufacturing plants located close together. This is a hands on, skilled trade position requiring strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery. This position will be supported by a degreed electrical engineer. They will be able to work together to solve production problems.

• repair, maintain, install, and set dies and related tooling, including preventative maintenance and first-piece verification.
• perform manual machining and fabricate replacement or new die components using machine tools.
• read and interpret technical drawings, die assembly prints, and specifications.
• lay out metal stock; set up, operate, and adjust machine tools to manufacture and repair die parts.
• fit and assemble die components, including shimming and tooling stack-up adjustments.
• work with and install precision tooling, including carbide components.
• make jigs, fixtures, and gauges using machinist hand tools.
• remain on a job until repair is completed.

• 5+ years of tool & die and maintenance machining experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• high school diploma or ged required; technical certification or associate degree in machining or tool & die preferred
• strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• proficient in operating machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and surface and i.d./o.d. Grinders
• experience building, repairing, and maintaining metal stamping dies and tooling components
• ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, etc.)
• experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• high attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality workmanship
• ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
• demonstrated ability to support and drive solutions related to die and tooling performance
• reliable, safety-focused, with a strong work ethic and consistent work record
• ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• flexibility to work weekends as needed
