As a Senior Tool & Die Maker - Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality of production equipment across our high-speed container manufacturing plants. This hands‑on position requires advanced mechanical knowledge and a strong ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, with support from a degreed electrical engineer.

Key responsibilities include:

• Repairing, maintaining, installing, and setting dies and related tooling, including performing preventative maintenance and first‑piece verification.
• Utilizing manual machining to fabricate replacement or new die components using various machine tools.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, die assembly prints, and specifications.
• Laying out metal stock and effectively setting up, operating, and adjusting machine tools for die part manufacture and repair.
• Fitting and assembling die components, including shimming and tooling stack‑up adjustments.
• Working on precision tooling and installing carbide components.
• Creating jigs, fixtures, and gauges with machinist hand tools.
• Remaining committed to each job until repairs are fully completed.

Qualifications and skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Tool & Die and maintenance machining within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or an associate degree in machining or Tool & Die is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Proficient in operating essential machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and surface and I.D./O.D. grinders.
• Experience in building, repairing, and maintaining metal stamping dies and tooling components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications properly.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Detail‑oriented, with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
• Proven track record in supporting and driving solutions for die and tooling performance.
• Reliable and safety‑focused with a strong work ethic and consistent performance history.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekends as necessary.
